Connecting Your Computer to Your Keyboard

To use Keyboard Coach's interactive Music Coach you need to connect your keyboard to your PC.

There are four main methods of connecting - MIDI Adapter Cable, Serial-to-Host Cable, MIDI Cable or MIDI Interface.

If you would like some help finding out which method of connection is best for your PC and Keyboard combination, please click here.

MIDI Adapter Cable

A MIDI Adapter Cable comes with two MIDI 5-pin DIN plugs on one end, and two 15-pin D-type connectors on the other (one 'male' and one 'female').

The two MIDI plugs go into the MIDI-IN and MIDI-OUT of your keyboard.

The 15-pin 'male' connector goes into the gameport on your soundcard. The 'female' connector can be used for a joystick or left unused.
